Dr. Schmitz presented his invited talk titled “Machine learning with updating for milling stability/Brittle-ductile transition” at the annual American Society for Precision Engineering meeting during the Precision Manufacturing technical session on Thursday, October 31. The event was held in Pittsburgh, PA. His talk described the use of physics-based models to inform machine learning models for optimized parameter selection in milling.
