On Thursday, November 10, Dr. Schmitz presented an invited lecture for the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO. Schmitz described “Smart Hybrid Manufacturing: Combining Additive Friction Stir Deposition, Structured Light Scanning, and CNC Machining” efforts at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
