Michael Gomez, PhD student for Dr. Schmitz, received the Professional Promise Award as part of the 2021 Volunteer of Distinction Awards. The award is conferred by the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor and celebrates the academic achievements of University of Tennessee, Knoxville graduating seniors and graduate students. Michael is named on the Volunteer of Distinction webpage and will receive an award certificate and honorary pin for his Spring 2021 commencement regalia.
