Schmitz Begins New Role

Tony Schmitz accepted a joint faculty position between the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Oak Ridge National Laboratory on August 1, 2019. The appointment is a 50/50 split position between the Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering department at UTK and ORNL’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility. He will continue his manufacturing research with an emphasis on machining dynamics.
