Schmitz is acting as co-chair for the FY 2015 National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Civil, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Innovation Committee of Visitors (COV). The COV is charged to review the division’s portfolio, the proposal and award process, and program operations and management for FY 2012-2014.
The COV chair is Louis Martin-Vega, dean of the College of Engineering at NCSU, Raleigh, NC.
